…is a small farm in Joseph, Oregon. Located just south of Joseph Charter School’s Track, but we are not open to the public at our physical location. See the events page for visiting times. Many locals are familiar with our location since it is where Beth Gibbons of Backyard Gardens was farming for years. It is a great honor to grow where Beth did, we wouldn’t have a Farmer’s Market if it was not for her. 

.Some might think my farming is a little “different.” With my artist and permaculture background one can notice our growing methods are not based off right angles. And, since we are growing on the bottom section of the property, we use the uneven contours of the land to help up us. As a farmer, I try and consider sustainable methods in flow with nature, plus everything I grow is to organic standards, however, there is no certification.

The farm offers local produce to patrons at the Saturday Farmer’s Marker in Joseph May- October.

So who is “I and me” referring to?
That’s me, Emily Garland, the creator and owner of Wallowa Wild. I am a single gal and have been working professionally on farms since I was nineteen. I am a full-on plant nerd, and a farming lifestyle caters to this. The land of Wallowa County is magical, the native plants here are breathtaking. I feel so lucky to have followed a random call about a job out here seven years ago.
